Hello! I'm Andrea, a Computer Science grad student at USC with over 3 years of tech art, programming and animation experience. Previously graduated with a BFA in Game Development and minor in Video Game Programming from USC. 

 

I just wrapped up my internship at Riot Games. Currently finishing my last year of studies, building skills in Machine Learning, Computer Graphics, and Game Engine Programming. Plus I'm working on student projects as a Technical Artist!

Tech Art - Rigging Intern (May - Aug 2026)
Riot Games

What I did

  • Delivered 12 character and VFX rigs, ensuring optimization for mobile and PC
     

  • Repurposed legacy rigging setups while preserving compatibility with existing systems in the midst of the team's transition to Unreal Engine 5
     

  • Engineered a custom python rigging tool in Maya that streamlines the creation of controls that produce more natural-looking deformations for hair, cloth, and similar meshes.

3D Animator (Jan - Dec 2024)
Nice Dream Games

What I did

  • Created character animations and cleaned mocap data in Maya for cinematic scenes ranging from 30 seconds to 5 minutes.
     

  • Leveraged Unity's Timeline, Animation Blend Tree and C# scripting to implement animations.
     

  • Solved scene-specific animation and rigging issues where needed, such as parenting and constraints.

What I did

  • Used Unreal Engine 5's Sequencer, animation and rigging systems to refine motion capture data

  • Crafted 3 cinematic sequences for music video with over 1.5 million views.

What I did

  • Built 4 character rigs in Maya and ensured seamless integration into Unity

Absolution

Solo Developer (Apr - May 2024)

What I did

  • Pitched original idea for psychological horror narrative game. Translated idea into master script, burndown chart and design macro within 2 weeks.
     

  • Designed scalable branching dialogue and events system using C# in Unity.
     

  • Gathered and implemented art and audio assets.
     

  • Conducted weekly playtests and made improvements using the RITE testing method.

Blindsight: War of the Wardens

Lead Animator (Aug 2022 - May 2025)

What I did

  • Led a global team of 8 animators in planning animation pipeline, creating over 50 unique humanoid animations
     

  • Retarget and clean motion capture data in Maya
     

  • Regularly coordinate with designers and engineers to troubleshoot animation and rigging bugs that affected gameplay
     

  • Advised mocap recording sessions with actors and recorded data using Motive in mocap stage
