What I did
Nixie's Adventure is the first complete, playable game I ever made. It comprises of 3 levels which I designed the from scratch. I also created a lot of the art assets and animations, including Nixie, the grass and moss, mushrooms, signs, final boss, VFX and more.
This was meant to be a short project to practice rapid prototyping and I polished it as much as I could!

My Process
1. Level Design
In the short time span I had, I decided to approach the game level by level, to open possibility of expanding the game in the future.
I mapped these designs on paper before building, testing and iterating on them.
2. Behavior Editor
This project was my first experience with visual coding for games. The code for this game is relatively simple and helped me pick up the fundamental concepts and components, which has helped me with my other projects today.
3. Set Dressing & Custom Art
Using Flowlabs' Sprite editor, I either created from scratch or edited the preexisting art provided by Flowlabs for this project.
